Sewer Development & Construction

Rogue Valley Sewer Services (RVSS) owns and manages the public sanitary sewer collection system within Central Point, Eagle Point, Talent, Phoenix, Jacksonville, Shady Cove, Gold Hill, portions of Medford, and portions of Jackson County including White City. 

Sewer service boundaries and GIS-based sewer system mapping can be found under the Maps tab at the top of the RVSS home page. 

RVSS oversite (permitting, plan review, payment of fees, sewer service billing, etc…) for development or sewer construction is generally separated into Private Sewer Service Permitting and Public Sewer Main Construction

Activities Requiring Private Sewer Service Permitting

*Residential

*Commercial/Industrial/Municipal

  • New single family residential or multi-family residential construction on individual lot(s) including ADU’s & cottages where an existing sewer main or service line is available for connection.
  • Existing exterior sewer service replacements, repairs, or abandonments.
  • New sewer service tap(s) to an existing main
  • New Commercial, Industrial, or Municipal construction on individual lot(s) where an existing sewer main or service line is available for connection.
  • Existing exterior sewer service replacements, repairs, or abandonments on a single tax lot.
  • New sewer service tap(s) to an existing main
  • Building improvements/remodels (for SDC determination)
  • Change of use (for SDC determination)
*Sewer service connection and replacement permits within the City of Medford and within the RVSS service area will be issued by the City of Medford. RVSS oversees new sewer main construction, issues sewer tap permits, and collects Sewer Collection System and Interceptor SDC’s in this area.

  • New single family and multi-family residential development creating multiple lots.
  • New single family residential or multi-family residential construction on individual lot(s) where an existing sewer main is not available for connection.
  • New Commercial, Industrial, or Municipal development creating multiple lots.
  • New Commercial, Industrial, or Municipal construction on individual lot(s) where an existing sewer main is not available for connection.
